Well Hello Gang!

Howdy folks!!

It's been quite sometime since I last posted anything, but I have been quite busy and preoccupied with many other things going on in my life right now. First off, I just want to announce that our group, Roseville Investigations of the Paranormal has a very BIG case approaching next weekend (the eleventh). We are investigating the Avondale Youth Center. From what I understand, this youth home has been quite a paranormal hot spot for some time now. I'll be sure to post more about it soon. I just wanted to touch base with everyone and let you all know that I have not fallen off the face of the earth. I've been around...just have other pressing issues to deal with right now. But I digress. Check our website http://www.roseville-paranormal.com for all your local paranormal news.

We will be adding more as we get them from other investigations so check back quite often and be sure to check the site for investigation dates. Also, I hope to see you all at Secrest Auditorium in Zanesville this weekend August 23 for the first ever Paranormal Seminar. Until next time!

Twin City Opera House McConnelsville, Oh. 8/9/08

Hey gang,

As promised here it is. My post about our investigation at the Twin City Opera House theater in McConnelsville. We had a GREAT time. I could not believe how much fun it was to investigate this historic place. We did not have any personal experiences, but we did catch a few EVP's which were kind of interesting. A couple were direct responses to questions that were asked, so that was kind of cool. One that stood out most to me that I captured was a child saying "got it". The really weird part is that there were no children present and my friend Brent nor I heard it at the time of recording. We were in the far corner of the deepest level of the basement doing an EMF (electro magnetic field) sweep of the area. I had my camcorder rolling with the IR on so that we could roll footage in total darkness. The battery was fully charged but drained within seven minutes down there. I can't figure that one out. The really weird part is that the camera shut off just around the same time that the "got it" EVP was captured.

Could a playful child spirit have had something to do with this? I don't know. It could be all a big coincidence, but it is definitly odd. One other EVP that stood out was captured by both my wife and also my good friend and co-founder Stephanie. They were up in the catwalk area above the stage also doing EVP work. You can hear Steph ask if there "is anyone here with us". To which my wife replies "it's starting to feel creepy up here" and then Steph acknowledges by saying "uh huh" which is then followed by a male voice right next to them saying "uh uh" as if disagreeing with them. There were no other people present in this area when this was recorded. We have a few more EVPs that were captured and hope to have them up on our website very soon. I'll let everyone know when that is all available.

All in all we had a great time and thanks again to our friends in TOPS for allowing us to tag along and even use some of their equipment. It was kind of a full house that night and we would like to go again very soon with a smaller group to do a follow up investigation. I can't really say the place is haunted just yet, but from what I have heard from the EVP's and the way my camera acted up, there is definitly paranormal activity going on at the Opera House. In the meantime check out our website http://www.roseville-paranormal.com to see the pictures from the investigation that were taken through out the night. There are no "ghost photos" just random snapshots of us at work. We had a blast and hope to get there again real soon. I hope to see you all at the seminar on August 23 at 7pm. Tickets are $10 at the door. So until next time boys and ghouls, sleep tight!

Our First Official Paranormal Investigation

Hey guys,

We are excited to announce that our first official paranormal investigation will be held this Saturday at 9pm at the Twin City Opera House in McConnelsville. It's been a long time coming for us to get out there and get started and none of it would be possible without all of the help from our friends at The Ohio Paranormal Seekers. From what I have learned from my research, the Twin City Opera House is one of the most haunted theaters in Ohio. We are excited and are hoping to document some great paranormal activity and possibly debunk a few of the stories along the way through other explanations. It's going to be a long weekend for me because my band also has a gig out of town the following morning and we will be hitting the road at 8:30am. WHEW! The wife and I are going to be exhausted, but it will be well worth it just to gain the experience. We weren't going to go, but decided we need to be there. We're not driving the following morning, so we can snooze in the car on the way there. But I digress. Wish us luck at the Opera House, and if any of you are in the area, stop by and say hello before we get started. But then at 9, you'll all have to skedaddle so we can get to work. We'll be sure to share any evidence we may capture on our website http://www.roseville-paranormal.com I'll post again when we have everything up and ready to go. Until next time folks, sweet dreams, and happy hauntings!

Let The Investigations Begin

Well gang, it's been a while since I last posted anything, but here is a little about what has been going on since then and now. We are planning a trip (if all goes well) to investigate Black Hand Gorge state park, just outside of Toboso off of State Route 146. Stephanie, the other lead investigator and founder of R.I.P. happens to be a Sensitive and knows for sure that there is something there. If you have ever been there and walked through the old tunnel, you may have noticed a "creepy feeling". I noticed this years back when I went there and was positive that there was something there but I didn't say anything as I didn't want people to think I was crazy. Well, we will go hopefully next Friday and we will try our best to uncover this mystery. We will post all about what we find and didn't find on our website and I will also be posting here as well. Another exciting investigation as stated in a previous update will soon be the Twin City Opera House in McConnelsville. I will probably be booking that one by the end of the week.

Also before I left work for the evening, I received an email from co-paranormal investigator Brent Saint John. He is involved with the Columbus based group TOPS. (The Ohio Paranormal Seekers) You can see their website here.

Anyways, he just emailed to inform me that they are currently working on some investigations in our area and would like for us to come along and join them. The Buxton Inn in Granville is reported to be one of Ohio's most haunted hotels. We will be joining them on this once it is setup.  I'm excited to link up with these guys as we are a new group and they have several years experience and are willing to lend a hand, and in turn, want us to lend a hand to them when we can. It's great to know that you're not alone in this field (pardon the pun)  ;) We will also possibly be checking out Stone Academy in Zanesville and also The Zanesville Community Theater. I'll post more about these later, and again, go to our site and register for the forums! Until next time!

Update!!!

Well folks I did it. I called the Twin City Opera House in McConnelsville. I talked to the guy in charge about setting up a paranormal investigation there. He is a real cool, down to earth guy and we talked for a while about it. He is excited for us to come down and check the place out. It's only gonna cost us $50.00 to have the whole place for the evening, so that's quite a deal. It's a small price to pay to gain experience. We haven't booked a date for it yet, but we are probably going to shoot for around the last weekend of July or so. He told me that each group that has investigated the place always comes back because each person tends to have a personal experience there. It's quite an old building and from what he told me, they have captured several EVP's that you can check out on the Opera House's site by going here. Also you can check out photos of the place too. We are quite excited and can't wait to get it booked. Keep checking out our site roseville-paranormal.com for any new details and be sure to register on our forum. Until next time!
